SHOUT: "Xi got a job offer liao"

mai-ah-hi, mai-ah-hu, mai-ah-ho, mai-ah-haha (correct?)… In high spirits. I'm particularly excited.

Xi got the job offer liao… signing employment letter soon... hahahah... I think Xi must be smiling with her mouth wide open (careful housefly flies in uh).

Hoping to see how the three lazy fellows work together during the coming busy closing period. Not very nice - I know, she know, everyone knows (everyone she knows supported her move)... but everyone still likes to kaypoh to find out (okay lah, we busybodies...). Let this be a lesson for these two sotongs... they should learn how to value hardworking & know-how-to-get-work-done staff (NOT bully them), and not those who only know how to curry favour.

Stranger questioning our choice of drinks...

Sunday (27 Nov 2006)

We were too lazy to travel… so Xian & I went to Chong Pang hawker centre for dinner. There are many people and we sat at any seats we could find. Then there came an uncle.

Uncle: “要叫什么水吗?”
Xian: “Kopi”
Uncle: “Kopi 没有. 要甘蔗吗? 还是要barley?”
Xian: “huh, 没有 kopi. 不要.”

Then we proceeded to order our Fried Hokkien Mee and you tiao. Then Xian asked me what I want. Suddenly, he had the urge to drink Soya Bean. We usually drink hot soya bean but today I wanted a cup of cold “drain water”… hahah… I called it this way since I was in primary school… soya bean mixed with grass jelly drink. So I think he wanted to try and order one for himself as well.

When we were close to finishing our you tiao (still have a few pieces)… that uncle happened to pass by and suddenly began to nag and question Xian.

Uncle: “你不是不要喝冷水lor? 为什么还喝这个? 你不是要喝’烧’的meh?”
(I looked at him, a little impatient. Xian & I ignored him and continued eating.)
Uncle: “我刚才问你们又不要叫? 我们也有豆花水.”
(It seemed like he’s going on and on and on… and anyone who tell off Xian for no good reasons always made me super pissed off – he’s nice doesn’t mean you can bully him – hahah, only I can bully him… kekek…)
Me: “我们喝什么管你什么事?” (Xian said he thought he heard ‘屁’ instead of ‘事’… anyway, that’s besides the point)
Uncle: “我只是问…”
(Still say… I stopped him with a…)
Me: “问? 你把你的生意做好就好, 不要在这里多管闲事!!!”
(He left… but we know he’s still grumbling don’t-know-what…)

After he left, Xian told me “Wah, I drink anything still have to get his approval? I only drink the Soya Bean from that stall and I will only buy it from them. (Can hear that he pissed off too).
I added, “Yup, plus we are only seated slightly closer to them… doesn’t mean that we have to order from them.”

I thought soliciting business like this in a hawker centre is illegal? Previously, I still order sugarcane drinks from this stall… from today onwards, I will never patronize this Good Partner drinks stall (#01-137). NEVER!

Delicious Seafood - My Remuneration

Saturday (26th Nov 2005)

Ever tried eating one whole fish in a western style using fork and knife instead of chopsticks and spoon? Blame me for being a mountain tortoise but really, I’ve never seen one whole fish in a western menu before. It is the curiosity of finding out the eating experience that resulted in me ordering a Grilled Baby Barramundi.

You see a 3/5 finished fish instead of a complete nice one because I’m naturally a shy person (hahah)… had to wait till less pairs of eyes (those waitresses/waiters) watching me – is it because they didn’t have many customers ordering this…

The barramundi (from Aust) is fresh and nicely grilled – there is no “muddy” and “fishy” taste. Served with lemon, olive oil, and herbs, it’s something new for me cos the ones which I tried are usually the steamed local version with soya sauce, ginger, pepper, etc.

Actually I think I prefer using chopsticks and spoon. Fork and knife is kind of weird and uneasy. Just imagine how you get a piece of bone out of your mouth onto the small plate that they provided specially for the bones… In this setting, you can’t possible spit it out just like that (“pui pui pui”). When I used the fork as transporter, the bone falls through the fork (alamak, clumsy-looking liao lah). As a fish-eating expert (fish head is still my favourite, especially curry fish head), I managed to finish up the whole fish “cleanly” and left its main skeleton intact. ;p After eating too much fish, I think the sautéed mushrooms are more delicious... haha…

And before that, I shared a bowl of lobster bisque with Jac. Pretty yummy though C&J commented that the best they tried were the ones they had in Germany. I quite like shape of the bowls… wondering where I could get my hands on a few…

lobster bisque

And in their toilet, Jac found a fancy for their mirror… it’s still there because she has yet to find a way to “kope” it (just joking).

fishing mirror
This meal is FOC... keke... like what the title says - it's a reward for the help I've rendered to C&J.

Qurioz's Recap...

Maybe I shouldn’t be saying this… but the Young Lions are a disappointment. See the misses... Haiz!
Remember this: Singaporeans cannot “or-lor” (praise) before job/task/competition comes to a finale, else we’ll screw things up. Usually the case.

***

For the 3rd time this month, I've seen the same irritant sitting/standing opposite me in the same mrt compartment. If he's handsome, maybe I may be more tolerant (at least I can exercise my eye power). But unfortunately, he's not. He's, to be frank, plump and not at all nice looking. To add on to his "everyone-can-hear" conversation he has with the person on the line, he keeps shaking his two legs. My ears have to work doubly hard to filter away the noise source (blah blah blah...) from the mp3 I'm listening to (from my k750i, of course - My k750i is my mobile entertainment system - "playstation", "small-pod", and hp). Today, I was a little delighted to hear this: "Erh, okay lah, 我不吵你做工..."... cool! Conversation ending... BUT no, despite saying this, he continues to rattle on and on and on and on... ???

***

Running nose & blocked nose... I've them both.

I support the execution of Nguyen Tuong Van. This is not going to change. The same statement issued will come in various variant of this form: "Please respect our rights as a sovereign state to apply and exercise our own laws to persons who had committed crimes within our jurisdiction". Enough said. Full stop.

Qurioz's status...

Got to learn what we've requested: Yanzi's new song - 眼泪成诗 ('reward' for learning faster than another class). Yippee!
***
I managed to drink lots of water to get rid of the sore throat /cough symptoms the day before. Now I'm confirmed down with running nose. Run out of tissue paper (had to get from Vic). Blow and wipe nose till a little reddish... and it's still running. Feel feverish. Lethagic.
***
FF needs a career switch asap. FF's senior is being offered 3 months no pay leave. She's not leaving the co but will still be away. And guess what - her small sotong boss is beginning to ask FF to take over (almost everything). See, the other sleeping partner no need to do anything. Too much right?
***
I wonder where my 我不听,我不听,就是不听你电话 mp3 went after I change to my 1gb card. cM, give me some time... I'll go look for it.
***
Good review! Of course, it's me! ;p
***
I couldn't change the way the software works. Glad I finally found a way to work around it and got it running, BUT the end result is wrong. Wah lao...

Licence plate series...

During one of a chit-chat session (some time back), Xi mentioned that the new SGA licence plate is out... and then we moved on to talk about the licence plate series significance. How about:
SGD - Singapore Dollars - everyone nodded... not a bad idea
SGS - This should be enough to reflect BigFish's loyalty to his company.
SGH - Singapore General Hospital... wah, like that uh... maybe only staff of SGH will like. To others, association with hospital is somewhat inauspicious.
SGP - SinGaPore (like that also can)
etc...

"Eh, I want a SHI series", I said.
(LOL) "Have have, if you go drive taxi", one said...
"Even if there are no SHI----T (that ends with a T, oops!), confirm have SH----I", another said... (LOL)

Coolheaded me on a cold day

COLD DAY
I love cold days (minus the rain when I need to be doing something outdoor). How nice if we have weather like that of Genting everyday (minus rain & fog)? Then I can buy lots of jackets/windbreakers/pullovers... love wearing them.

***

COOLHEADED
I'm unsure if the person who asked me to help do a "first pass" review of a paper know much about the paper's technical contents... perhaps my comments are relatively "final". Is the "first pass" merely for formalities? And there I was, buried under a strings of equations - three of which I found questionable/wrong (leaving out the brackets and "subject-to" conditions have erroroneous effects - no wonder I don't seemed to get it initially).

Go go go...

If you are viewing this, pls help "French Fry" (FF) to pray that her interview is successful today (since they discussed a little about how they should offer her - so I reckoned there's a high chance she's going to get an offer soon).

Hooray (pre-celebration yell)!

"Should I go for it?", she asked. (I knew she asked for reassurance only. Deep down, I know that she wanted to join them and leave her workplace asap - even forgoing her year-end bonus).

I told her a definite YES. Why? I told her:
1. Most importantly, you're stucked with a work scope that is of no value to your desired career path. And to get new employer to accept someone with no relevant experience has never been easy (esp. so when the pay you are currently drawing and expecting gets higher)... so if someone is willing to train you, why not? Plus, you seriously need a "stepping stone" to move onto a professional line where experience made a whole lot of difference to your prospects.
2. She has a
difficult-to-work-with immediate superior (aka small boss) and now, to make things worse, there come along a big bad wolf (haha, no lah, a new big boss) who is of similar calibre. OMG! Birds of the same feathers flocked together is really apt to describe the small boss, big boss, and a small slack fry (fellow colleague who sucked up to the two bosses in obvious manner). There are only 3 person for this small boss to manage (incl. FF, FF's senior, and small slack fry) and she already made a mess out of it. FF and FF's senior really couldn't take it. FF's snr has made the first move - tendered resignation. FF hope to do it soon... *evil smile* and I hope to find out how the bosses survive without their LEFT and RIGHT arms ;p

Backdated...

I went for a haircut + hair spa (here spa, there spa, everywhere also named their stuff spa... so that they can charge more for a high-class product/service?) and guess what I saw... I need to blog this to remember that someone actually thought about lying face forward for the hair wash (instead of lying on your back)... how I know? Through that person's gestures to the hair stylist lor... LOL... ultimate joke of the week...

Got to go home myself this evening... sigh! Xian said he couldn't start the engine. Wondering what's wrong with it? Maybe should just have it scrapped, and get a new cool Mazda 3... *dreaming*

I bet Xian must be very pissed off right now. He's super stressed - got a deadline coming up next Wed and he actually wanted to rush home to debug some test boards with the right stuff he had at home and now he's stucked, probably waiting for tow truck or waiting for his dad to have it checked out? I wonder if his dad can obtain security pass to enter the car park? And can the tow truck enter?

I received some of these in my emails: "Have a nice weekend ahead..." or "Enjoy ur weekend"... Urh, how to? I still have a lot of coding to do for the simulation of at least 8 models (this excludes the time for debugging). Yucks, this doesn't sound pleasant at all. There will be a lot of distractions for sure... haiz! Determination... determination...

See lah, ask u to learn how to say no - don't listen... now u jolly well need to go and help someone to collect something from one end and pass it to a Mr "dont-know-who" located at the other end... got to go now.
Urgh. Too much to do... too little time...

Cable Ski Park (Singapore vs Batam)

Now I know the $2-million Cable Ski Park Ski360 is located in East Coast Park (within salt water East Coast Lagoon). That time who told me it's somewhere near Marina Bay?

Quote a line from an article "East Coast Park, 30, gets a facelift" (Nov 17) in
TODAY...

"For those with a taste for extreme sports, East Coast Park will be the place to go with the launch of Singapore's first Cable Ski Park around March next year."
Well, maybe yes and no. Looking at the charges, I have a feeling that I would choose to travel to Waterfront City, Batam to learn/practise wakeboarding. Traveling to Batam also have that "eh, I'm traveling out of the country feel too... (minus the part on the roaming charges*)"... Check out the price difference...
  • Estimated cost of one-hour tickets in Cable Ski Park Ski360 (Singapore): SGD$35-SGD$45 (Not sure if they have some other packages available...)

  • In Cable Ski Park Waterfront City (Batam): 1 Hour Ski Pass - SGD$15, Half Day Ski Pass (abt 3-4 hrs) - SGD$45, Full Day Ski Pass (abt 5-8 hrs) - SGD$60, Day Trip Package (incl. 2 way ferry, land transfers, full day admission, packet lunch (fried rice, noodles, etc), usage of all equipments, coashing my in-house instructors) - SGD$80. For the day trip package, you can also add SGD$35 for additional day of skiing.

Seriously, the only way Singapore can compete is only with better facilities/environment/service...

  • If you are only a beginner, you don't need any pro equipments/facilities... the basics will suffice. IMO, the cheaper rates matter. So maybe wakeboarders might spend most time training/practising in Batam's Ski Park and then show off in the Singapore's Ski Park. ;p
  • Salt water vs fresh water (eh, maybe not that fresh... it's enclosed lake water... with perhaps some amount of dish washing detergents in it - the detergents help to get feet into the tight wakeboard bindings)... You see, the water either gets into your nose or your mouth (at times when you fall) and with my contact lens on, I think I prefer the lake water into my eyes and nose.
  • I doubt the Singapore Ski Park have operators ferrying you back to the starting dock using scooters, what would they use - I wonder (btw, I'm just a novice - how would I know)?

I shall wait till March to find out...

*I will use the 我不听,我不听,就是不听你电话... mp3 as the ringtone there... to remind myself not to pick up your phone call... hahah ;p

Along the way...

With a packet of coffee in one hand, a cigarette in the other, a man puffed away beside a bin placed next to a pillar (with the “No Smoking” poster on it) at one “remote” corner of Boon Lay Bus Interchange as though there is no smoking ban.

Yesterday a friend told me a funny incident she witnessed on the mrt one fine morning… as usual, the train towards town area was extremely packed during rush hours. Near the door stood a lady with considerably big boobs (urm, not the beautiful kind – I shall not elaborate in case I accidentally caused the wrath of some people). No space already but at one of the station, a man literally squeezed in with his back facing that lady… so very close… erh, to the point where the boobs seemed to be compacted between the two bodies. Upon seeing this, my friend instantaneously brought her file towards her chest and continued to watch with amazement how the two moved in sync with the train’s movement for another two stations. The way she spoke about it and demonstrated – so funny. LOL. She jokingly asked if that man’s back is so insensitive?

Sometimes there are just many things/incidents happening around us along our travel/ride to work/school… just observe (usually that’s what I do to pass time when I forget my k750i or Today and I’ve got nothing better to do)… and I find strangers arguing over a seat; young kids asking the accompanying adult lots of questions along the way (At times I’ve seen the adults asking them to shut up, no wonder many kids don’t speak up in class… At times the kids seemed more intelligent ;p); kids singing, running around in an enclosed moving playground, or even swinging around the “monkey bars”; tired passengers snoring away (you should watch how everyone stopped their activity to identify where it comes from); someone falling asleep and ultimately laying his head unknowingly onto the shoulders of the person next to him/her… only saw this once… other times it’s leaning closer and closer but usually there will be a point where they will somehow return back to their original posture (watch out for the one who’s awake… how the tsk tsk tsk also don’t help… how they budge, attempt to reposition the sleeping pig’s head…); irritants who speak so loud into their mobile phone as though the other party has hearing deficiency, listen to music via their speakers (have money to buy hp, no money to get a headset?), scroll through all the “obiang” ringtones to select one to use onboard the mrt; how they run and pushed their way through the alighting passengers to get to the seats… etc…

Waste food again...

Sometimes I wonder if the stall owners/cooks taste what they have cooked and know how awful they taste? Standards also vary significantly in some stalls and you get mouth-watering food one day and displeasing quality the next. Maybe they should really practice the habit of tasting their own food before selling.

A few months ago, I threw away a bowl full of mee rebus because it just tasted super salty (No mee rebus taste – sorry don’t know how to describe its taste...). A few weeks back, I threw away almost half bowl of duck noodle because the gravy is also very salty. Today, I threw away slightly more than half cup of the strawberry-mango juice. The first time I tried it, it was fantastic – in fact, I reckoned it a suitable candidate for the occasional switch from my usual favorite of carrot-green apple juice. I realized that it is only fabulously good if the proportion and type are right… with enough sourness from the strawberries (not those sweet ones pls) and sweetness from mango… but today, the whole juice tasted like a cup of concentrated syrup… super sweet. Yucks! Spoil my lunch. Strawberry-mango juice is blacklisted.

Pls do not waste food - I couldn't help it. I just hate super salty and super sweet stuff... not good for health leh... not entirely my fault right?

Sit-ups replacement...

My mum refused to be measured but revealed that there’s a slight improvement. My mum looks fitter but that’s also because she goes for morning exercises too. In my opinion, Trimax is not here to fully replace exercises… it just doesn’t work that way. Imagine a toned stomach but flabby arms & thighs (also not nice right?). It can probably replace sit-ups/crunches… btw, if you don’t exercise and don’t control your food intake, then I suggest you don’t waste money because Trimax is not everything (for goodness sake, don’t treat it as a miracle machine). I’ve seen and heard successful cases and unsuccessful ones… so what do you think?

I must commend OTO for their excellent customer service. Two days after I bought Trimax for my mum, its timing becomes problematic. It is supposed to function for 10 minutes and then stop. You rest for five minutes, then restart it again yourself. Repeat the 10 minutes cycle for three times to make up a total of 30 minutes. However, Trimax refused to start the third time. My dad went to get it replaced on the third day. No hassle one-to-one exchange.

The new set was initially okay but the timing again went haywire. To be frank, my mum was quite pissed off and having to listen to my mum’s complaints made my dad unhappy too. Coincidentally, OTO service staff happened to call us to check if the new set is working fine (this is something which we didn’t expect). NOPE was my dad’s reply. Sometimes the other party is just too friendly and nice – and naturally, you will comment (not complain) about the problems in a pleasant way. Unfortunately, there was no more stock and the staff promised a new set as soon as there is one. This time round, they delivered the new set to our place… apologized for the delay in replacement and gave us a FREE Facial Complete Makeover Toner (that comes with 5 interchangeable heads that can be used for rejuvenating, hydrating, and relaxing our faces)… we got face black black meh? ;p

***

I told ah boy that his micro-beaded puppy looked kind of overweight (maybe I shouldn’t have said so) and he suggested using OTO Trimax TX808… haha… you see, the more you don’t allow the kids to use it, the more curious they are… and the more they want to give it a try (whether on themselves or on their plaything). In the end, I just allowed him to take some pics.

Puppy: before and after using OTO Trimax TX808… ;p

The handsome puppy after slimming.

Name confusion & "Retreat"...

Me: "Harlow..."
Xi: "Eh, where are you now? Very hungry already... quick..."
Me: "Reach Rivervale Mall liao. Just found a parking lot..."
Xi: "What Rivervale Mall? NOT Rivervale Mall, it's Rivervale Plaza..."
Me: "Huh? Plaza uh? Wait... (quickly flipped the road directory again)... shit, really have...
So confusing... just now Xi only said Plaza once (I couldn't remember, that's what she said) but emphasised only on Rivervale a number of times and I only remembered Rivervale... and when I checked the road directory, I just went to the whatever Rivervale that I first saw.

***

Today I "retreat" to Xi's place... and just accidentally messed up their extension cord and 3-pin adapter when I plugged in my laptop. Power tripped. Oops... their plasma tv went off... 吓到我半死(plasma tv and laptop aren't cheap stuff). Actually, it's not entirely my fault also right? kekek... Anyway, nothing much happened except that the extension cord and 3-pin adapter needed replacement.

Tonight, we are having a little fun. Will cook our own dinner - previously we were always lazy (ordered Canadian pizza). I will make Jap curry, Xi will prepare steamed fish and fried vege, Picarchew will cook drunken prawns... plus one don't-know-what soup. You should see the way we buy giant fresh prawns at the wet market. So comical. Only Picarchew can execute such task... "Uncle, these prawns how much...", and went on to say "we only want 10". hahaha... $6... hmm, so expensive one meh? (I think all along most of us only know how to eat... didn't really do the wet market shopping). We also bought lots of tidbits. Also got a bottle of 7-up (picarchew will supply vodka to make vodka lime and debated whether to buy lime or lemon)... and bought both (lime to add to the vodka, lemon to "suck" - correct or not?). And we laughed over how I got the lemon FOC unknowingly. All these are for our karaoke session tonight... xi xi will help to serve us these drinks and tidbits (kekek) cos she's still nursing a coarsed voice (haven't recover from cough) - just nice.

The Replacement

Ah boy wanted a real puppy but got a stuffed beaded toy dog instead… so sad. He usually “throw” soft toys into my room saying that the lonely soft toy needed more friends… but surprisingly he likes this dog very much.

I returned home late one night (or should I say, very early… perhaps close to 2am). Didn’t switch on the living room light (as usual)… suddenly saw something on the sofa. Blinked my eyes and looked carefully… huh, a dog!?! (Not that I’m scared of dogs… but I’m extremely shocked to find one in my house… how come I was not informed?) My mind’s processing speed was really slow (it’s sometimes like that beyond normal sleeping time) to realize that my mum would never allow any fluffy or furry pets inside the house. Cheh! Realized after the split moment of surprise that it’s only a stuffed toy dog.

I disturb ah boy when he’s busy working on his assignments. The dog is actually quite cute right? But Xian said it looked like… ermm… some sort of RA photo (tsk tsk tsk… dirty minded… it’s “Xian & His Nonsense” again...).

Tormenting baths

I realized how tormenting it is to take a shower from a newly installed showerhead that is of a low-pressure type. This is the first time after my bath that I actually feel grouchier than the moment I pull myself up from bed (after a late night). My dad had always made the right purchase for all our showerheads… but why this “sub-standard” one this time round? Alas… looks like it’s time for me to take over this purchase task…

I actually took much longer to feel clean under the anemic flow of water and my mum yelled at me that I’m going to be running late… With water flowing like this, how to take a fast shower? The water does not “shoot out” like a wide body spray but “flow down slowly and peacefully” in a single narrow stream. Talking about indulging oneself in a shower like this… How to when it loses its basic massaging function and the drenching rainfall experience that I enjoy? I’m not encouraging water wastage but showering longer really defeats the purpose of the lower-flow head (if it’s purpose is to save water). I prefer a quick shower (most of the time).

Another point to note is it’s extremely poor showerhead design (those designers should be send packing to attend some Human Factors and Ergonomics course). I made a mental note to keep a look out for a replacement this weekend when I go shopping for a hair dryer and a vacuum flask. Else I’ll go crazy with such baths.

Beneath the DARK sky...

Yesterday morning, the car park attendant surprisingly decided to wake up especially early to issue a $30 parking offence to my parents who went exercising... so ON? Is it really true that these attendants earned a commission based on the number of offences they issue? Or is it a rumour? Any idea?
Added comment on 11th Nov: The "mountain tortoise" me realized that I can only pay summons via vPost or SAM only two days after the actual date of offence.
***
Poor Picarchew, his precious "wife" was stolen in Malaysia.
Looks like it's not a safe place to drive into...
Added comment on 11th Nov: Picarchew's mum said that he backside itchy lor... nothing go into Johor for what. Picarchew's mum-in-law said almost the same thing... except not to him but to ME... cos Xi asked me to break the bad news first before they go home for dinner today... so I become the "nag" front line shield (敢死队) ;p
***
Don't know why but I'm just very very tired...
Maybe I should just say 'NO' to all requests.
Added comment on 11th Nov: "Can you help me to collect those ___ and pass them to ___?" and "Can you help me to borrow/zap few pages from a few books?"... and I just said "Yes" & "Okay" to two more requests... it's just so very difficult to say "NO" to some people... especially more so to your superiors, close friends, relatives...

Fiery hot & spicy gift

My friend LKP is back for his oral defense and brought me many packets of Chong Qing Spicy Hot Pot ready made mix of ingredients from China... yippee... thks! It's hot and spicy... real shiok (tried one packet once with my family & relatives - also sponsored by him the other time his gf came to Singapore). You see, I'm a little chilli freak. Yo friends, next time if you volunteer your place for hot pot dinner and invite me... I'll sponsor these mix (whilst stocks last). ;p

Btw, this happens to be my 100th entry. Actually why am I writing this for?

Streak of suayness...

It's not Friday the 13th, but we were still suay (unlucky) last friday evening. Realized the jack was spoilt when one of the tyres was punctured. Of all time... when we are meeting someone for dinner. Oops, we were late, in fact, very late. I mean, who on earth would buffer in time for such mishaps. In the end we had dinner around 9pm. There were no helpful souls around (also because we were a little out of place), we had to wait up to 45 minutes for Xian's dad to come and 'rescue' us while the mosquitoes enjoyed a blood banquet feast.

I realized I've no problem waiting. Just continue my RPG quest on my k750i... this will do the trick... The gaming experience is a little challenging with one hand occasionally having to swing here and there to tell the mosquitoes to buzz off (indirectly directing them to the snoozing Xian).

Someone asked me why I didn't take photos... "huh, you didn't see punctured tyres before?"

***
At one point in time, I was quite excited that I could have a go at changing tyre... didn't change before. In fact, I'm quite confident that I would be able to do it (having watched how the actors/actresses do it on TV/movie). hahah... so I was a little disappointed when the jack failed to work.

Angry...

Just now an idiot in the adjoining cubicle of the rest room slammed (I didn't use the word 'closed' for a reason) the door so hard that my precious k750i dropped to the floor. Luckily my k750i is tough enough to survive this fall, else I would have kicked her ass. But I still feel the pain...

An afternoon with November's Chopin

Collected Jay's CD (November's Chopin) around noon after taking my brunch - only those fools would wait till 5pm (as advised by one of the staff taking the pre-orders). Saw pages of names in the pre-order list but only a handful has collected.

***

I occupied the whole sofa... basically lied across it with both eyes glued to the lyrics... and enjoyed the songs done in Jay's style. I've already blasted the whole CD twice and it's still replaying...
