The significance of insignificant

I slept well and woke up to a beautiful morning with a cheerful mood... but ended up at the workplace with a lousy mood :(

This thing shouldn't even have happened in the first place. The best part is that history somehow is allowed to repeat itself in various forms. Sometimes I wonder if some things are so insignificant that are not worth spending some effort to coordinate and ensure things that are within one's control don't go haywire to shatter the plans at the last minute?

Obvious horoscope?

Was flipping TODAY online and saw 'my horoscope today' that says...

SCORPIO (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
You may have put on a couple of unwanted pounds during the past couple of days. Spend some time at the gym to ensure you will move into the new year in great condition, able to wear those new outfits.

These two lines are a sure hit. Festive holiday is a sure good excuse for many people to feast on sinful treats. Then the after-effect is... oh, I've eaten too much and I need to diet/workout/slim down. I think I can insert these statements under any zodiac signs and I think I can easily hit it right 9 out of 10 times. Even thin and skinny people would be included in that nine (it's amazing how and why "skinnies" are also frantically slimming). I had witnessed a skinny gal at a Guardian counter buying Xtreme for herself... *mad* (and I overhead the cashier commented to her colleague that she "blah blah...gila...blah" and I grinned. Despite that I only know this word "gila" in a strings of words of another language, I understood what she meant. kekek... and I purposely nodded to her and repeated "yup, I think she's gila too"... hahah... and she went into the "oops" mode.

-- Even walls have ears, not to say public places. Time to served me liao (cos I'm the next in queue) and save the gossips to the end of the day.

*The horoscope, though obvious, reminded me that I need to exercise liao...

Post Xmas

We celebrated our not-so-Christmas-liked Christmas Eve at Alvemmel's Inn (where is this place? haha... it's a top secret which only the privileged few would know). It's a cosy mini get-together with "pre-ordered" food (extra large Canadian pizzas, satay, chicken wings, fish/sotong balls, kuehs, konnyaku jelly)... and dry swimming (mahjong - got to pay learning fees again...), xbox gaming, UNO, and karaoke (kill-chicken-renditions of Jay Chou's and Stephanie Sun's songs). The random gift exchange is quite fun. Lots of laughter (in fact, laugh until my stomach a bit cramped). From display ornaments (I still cannot imagine how come Kerv can buy such things???), to cartoon-massagers and mini-fan, to a musical-coin-box, to t-shirts (I wore it today ;p), to soft toy, to cute pillow rest, to cup... Hmm, maybe next year we should have a pot-luck session and upped the number a little to include more people... cos it's confirmed that "more people = more fun"...

hohoho...

Yippee... Friday is always the happiest day of any working day.

What's more when tomolo is Christmas Eve... hohoho... Merry Christmas...

Go all out to give a xmas gift...

This was the very first time I had to crack some of my already diminishing brain cells to pass a x'mas gift to someone. I thought it was the gift selection process that was the most *headache* of all... but last Wed's experience proved otherwise.

Yup, ML & I went across the street to do a speedy shopping after class (and that was like 9.30pm already... oh no, shops closing soon). I helped ML find the black k750i silicon cover (a minute after we stepped into the shopping paradise) which she couldn't find for a whole hour before class. *I'm her lucky star*... After we found a little gift for KY, we rushed back across the street. [Time was around 10.10pm]. Realized the main door leading to the units upstair were locked from the outside. We blasted the "hotline" ("coldline is perhaps more apt) and busted the voicemail instead... "please record your message after..." *end call*... We evaluated all options but none was suitable (for one reason or another).

Me: I think the doors are locked by the security. How about look for the security guard and get them to open the door for us?
ML: Where to find them?

We then watched with amazement... one security guard walked past us. I think we were both a little stunned by the coincidence to do anything for a brief moment. Serious, we just looked at each other without doing anything... *We probably had little angels following us around - so lucky...*

Me: How?
ML: Eh, he's walking away...
*mai tu liao*

I'm rather surprised that the security guard can tolerate our nonsense. "Eh, all we wanted to do... is to pass this present to someone in unit #xx-xxxx... *give a blur blur look*... the door is locked, can you help us to open the door?..." After a brief assessment that the two siao-cha-bo *silly* gals can't possibly do any harm, he radioed his colleague to bring the bunch of keys over. *woo hoo* He got us to write down our names, ICs, address (but didn't asked for our IC to verify - so if people anyhow write also can?)... OPEN SESAME! Those people sitted around the door must be wondering what the hack we were doing - being accompanied by two security guards - one wait downstairs, the other escort us upstairs (coupled with the radio-ing)... *KY was pleasantly surprised*... oh mine, what a way of giving a gift...

"Yours sincerely" need not appear on cards in words at all, it can be spoken using "actions". ;p

2+2 is not equal to 4?

2+2 is equal to 2+2 but 2+2 is not equal to 4

The combined class was (as what I had predicted) indeed a class of 2+2, not a class of 4. Little smiles were sent out with no "comprehensible" returns. Okie lor... if you insist. Haiz... anyway, these two groups of two just couldn't blend. I wonder if KY noticed the separation between the oil and the water. All the spontaneous participation (lots of 2-way discussions and conversation) coupled with lots of laughters somewhat disappeared. All we had were gentle whispers and an uncomfortable atmosphere where the once steady fingers also "suka-suka" (anyhow) disobeyed the brain.

The Chocolate Question...

Here's a question for you... don't surf the net to check...

Is chocolate called (i) 朱古力 or (ii) 巧克力? ;p

Oi... Don't Shake

Xi: Aiyo... 我终于了解了
Me: Huh?
Xi: 你写字的时候,桌子会摇的... *grrrrr* (stare at me)... 写小力一点 lah...
Me: *return the innocent look*
Xi: 难怪以前JC时在 LT (lecture theatre) 做 test (same table) 的时候被同学 complain... tsk... 哈哈
Me: *grin* 你以前写字也很用力的嘛
Xi: 现在不会了
Me: 你太久没有写了... 还是没有力(没吃饭)?
Come let's go for lunch... I think you have no energy to write... that's why.

Shake shake shake... Shake Your Bon Bon...

Pain in the...

The lazy-but-smart-me (*vomit*) has FINALLY found a way to automate some simulation runs... so I can get the CPU to work overtime while I'm sleeping. Getting the poorly documented commercial software to run via DOS batch file is still manageable, but modifying, exporting the model, to saving the output is a pain in the... basically done with 20% assistance from the "helpful" help files and 80% via trial & error...

Went jogging this morning... the first couple of runs are always the hardest (which also is a pain in the...) With body not doing what it's being told (unlike years back - sprinter some more... yah lah yah lah... long long time ago when policemen wore shorts). It's the case of the mind battling with the almost-out-of-breath me (would a small compressed air tank help? LOL) and out-of-sync legs and knees to complete the 2.4km. Need to get into gear regularly to seriously get back to rhythm and most importantly, shape... ;p

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."

Post Birthday Celebration

We went out for buffet to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. *yawn yawn*... Wait wait wait, don't be mistaken... It's hooray for the celebration thingy (all gatherings are great for catching up... and haha... plus plentiful of "how old are you", "which school are you in", "where are you working", "when are you completing your studies", "when are you getting married", "when are you inviting us to wedding dinner"... exchange of ringtones, info of which shows/movies is nice... blah blah blah... some topics can be pretty interesting), the food is... eh... okay... but the timing is bad. Next time we shouldn't have something on SUNDAY evening... For kids and teachers who don't have to go back to school, home-makers and retirees who only report to themselves... it's okay but for the rest, the idea of having to work the following day doesn't sound at all nice *sulk, followed by yawn*. MONDAY BLUES... haiz. (Even Feli wanted to get home earlier... cos she needed to go back to sch on Mon for cca... and I can understand why).

As usual, nothing special. Attendance is the same as last year. Eh, wait, nope... there's one more person - YY's bf. Almost forget. I didn't get the name proper. But even if I do, I can be pretty bad at remembering names (esp. those whom I only said "hi" and "bye" to). Maybe next year, there'll be JH's gf... and maybe yet another year, there'll be babies (who knows?)... and if you think the babies will be mine, eh, unfortunately, my plans have not coincided with the gahmen's pro-family planning yet... unless the wind changes direction... then perhaps.

Lots of capturing the memories moments... *snap snap snap*... well, when there are too many cameras around, I lose the snapping impulse and indulge in mouth-ercise (eat and chat) instead.

The kids (actually my cousins - quite a large age gap actually - I've finished Uni and most are still in Sec & Pri) have grown taller (some were even taller than me)... wah liew, looked as though I've grown shorter over the years. haha... ;p

This morning, I looked into a mirror to find a panda at home again *gasp*. A cup of coffee is not sufficient to keep my (咪咪眼)eyes wide open... another dose of teh tarik was needed when I reached my workplace... So tired. Now I'm looking forward to this coming weekend (it's still MONDAY)... four and a half days more to go... count down... tick-tock, tick-tock... Talking about coming weekend, I still haven't go and buy something for the random gift exchange on X'mas Eve...

Midnight shopping is over...

A: Eh, you better don’t go and tell people you first time come to Plaza Singapura (PS). Wait they “lau gar gui kor” (laugh until they cannot control their bowels).
B: Ssshhhh… not so loud.

LOL.

--------------

Last Friday, we went to PS to shop past midnight. Yes, first time. (I mean first time doing midnight shopping). We went, not because we wanted to grab something from the galore of bargains (which we couldn’t resist some how) but because we were just curious how midnight shopping would be like in Singapore. In fact, we only reached PS at around 10.45pm. *siao*… yup yup… There were long queues everywhere… on the road beginning a few hundreds of metres away from the car park, in front of fitting rooms, and behind ringing registers. Looks like it’s shopping spree (shopping madness) for many. In fact, MacDonald was still packed with crowd even at 2am. Quite happening.

Urgghhh... Don't touch!

It's annoying enough to have people touching the screen of my laptop during a discussion (work related or not). It's even worse to have people tracing lines of words on the screen using their fingernail three times in a row. URGGGHHHHHHHHH. I almost wanted to yell.

心痛...

What the fish... What's the mouse for? What's your mouth for? What's my eyes and ears for?

You can use my laptop - no problem. Just keep your fingerprints, fingernails, and saliva off the screen.

What's life without music...

My class of 2 will be combined with another class of 2... but ML and I was wondering if this will become a class of 4 or a class of 2+2. It will really be awkward should it be the latter. Will we be slowed down or will we helped to motivate them to learn faster? Will we screw up with another two pairs of eyes looking, and two pairs of ears listening to us play?

KONG is KING

Went to watch King Kong last nite. Recommended. Go and watch.

Kong is supposed to catch King Kong with his colleagues at the same cinema 1.5 hrs earlier but gave his paid ticket to his buddy-colleague [who invited a gal to watch - wah, nice one, a paid-for "pak tor" (date)] and paid for another tic to watch with us (a little bit like King Kong who went all out to take care and be with Ann ;p keke...). Show starts at 9.30pm. I reached at 9.25pm. Everyone waited for me to take dinner at food court... went in at 9.45pm and the big screen was still showing commercials... "neh. see. never on time one. so just take your time, have a nice dinner elsewhere so you don't end up paying a ridiculous $6.50 for a hotdog bun and a cup of coke."

What is a Black List?

cM knows that Darkie is blacklisted. KP is also pretty fast in making out what happened from just a few descriptive words that follows my MSN name. He said I cared too much. (Yup, the ink that prints the names on my black list sometimes vanishes pretty quickly). However, his suggestion to provide minimal help to Darkie and to adopt a bit of a hacked-care attitude is perhaps right. (If he cannot be bothered, why should you?). I received an email from Darkie on Mon with no apologies with regards to the "fly aeroplane" incident). I replied on Tues... don't reply is a bit bad... so replied to ask him what kind of problems he encountered and also what are the error messages he received and guess what? He didn't reply my email. [Someone was quick to add: If he hasn't done anything, how to tell you the problems and error messages...] True, when I sent out my email, it was also with the intention to find out if he had tried doing something by himself cos frankly speaking, I don't see him often (get what I mean). Now, I don't feel a thing cos I don't care and I couldn't be bothered.

Let it be. Let it be.

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I’ve tried to be good this year and I think I’ve done pretty all right… It’s not snowing here. My house doesn’t have a chimney for you to “drop in” but you can try to remove the roof tiles and climb down from the false ceiling. I won’t be at home this X’mas Eve. There’s no christmas tree with cute or beautiful ornaments. If you like, I can put up a X’mas stocking for the only present I asked for.

If you wish to drop by Singapore, you might like to consider wearing a raincoat instead (it’s monsoon season; also, your santa’s clothes is a bit thick for our hot and humid weather). Before you forget, you need to get your sleigh registered first (we function in a “law-by-law” manner) or you will be shot down by our ancient A-4SU Skyhawks (soon to be replaced by Boeing’s F-15E Strike Eagle). If you haven’t done so, I am afraid it might be too late because the relevant authorities could take weeks to decide whether to classify your flying sleigh as an aircraft or on-road vehicle (it happens once with the duck tour – boat/bus? remember?). By then, you would have to give Singapore a miss (sobs sobs, no more presents for us). Perhaps you can try writing in to The Straits Times and Today (two newspapers with the highest readerships) to comment (read as: complain) on their efficiency for I’ve seen many many people done this. Not sure if it works but I know that you will be thanked for highlighting (part of their SOP) and be notified that they will look into the matter (with no time line mentioned). If you happen to get the go-ahead in time, great great! Please see my only wish below (you see, I’ve been nice and not naughty, so I expect to get the present I asked for, not lumps of coals). Else, you can give my following wish a miss (don’t waste time to read).

I am not greedy. I only asked for one wish *grin*. I wish for a real Doraemon, Xiao Ding Dang (NOT soft toy, display figurine)… so that I can be a true Da Xiong (eh, no no, Da Xiong sounds a bit nerdy for me… Xiao Xiong sounds nicer). Doraemon can bring me into the future to see what’s new/novel that I can use for my work, and of course (not forgetting to give back to society), to retreive possible cures for cancer, aids, strokes, diabetes, bird flu etc. and the methods for human parts reconstruction and replacement… and to satisfy my curiosity (hence, the name qurioz), to find if there’s really an invention for longevity, check when natural resources will run dry or if mankind will become extinct one day, whether there’re really Martians out at Mars, etc. In addition, I would ask doraemon to take me around the world… and allow me to pilot a helicopter/aeroplane, drive a yacht/speedboat out to seas to sunbathe during weekends, participate in the F1 races with no accidents, dive without any clearing problem, conquer all mountains especially Mount Everest with no mishaps, speak like a Toast Master, play piano and guitar like a pro, have a sexier figure, have lots of money to help those in need, etc. That will be really great… *dreaming*

Thanks!

Merry Christmas ;p

With lots of luv,

Xiao Xiong

Outside the inside & Inside the outside

Outside and inside only share one common "side" - that's the boundary that separates the outside from the inside but yet creates a connection between the two. But if one can't look inside 'the outside' and the other can't look outside 'the inside', they will be trapped in the world of their kind, have not much sense of directions, unable to appreciate/treasure, and may eventually alienate.

Outside, the rain stops.
Inside, it starts to drizzle.
Outside, everything looks fine.
Inside, everything goes wrong.
Outside, the one who ought to understand don't.
Inside, cannot comprehend why the other one don't understand?.
Outside, ignore.
Inside, retaliate.
Outside, turn down volume.
Inside, (might as well) mute it.
Outside, goes into standby mode.
Inside, (might as well) shut it down.
Outside, silent and stoned.
Inside, disappointed and gave up.

Suddenly, it reminds me of the first four lines of Rhythm of the Rain...

Yahoo! Mail Beta...

After keying in my ID & password, I was not directed to a familiar page where I get to see how many new emails I had... shit, key-in wrong password again meh? On second look... eh, the guys at Yahoo! asking me if I would like to try Yahoo! Mail Beta. Aiyo, anything that's FREE and good/better (minus the cases when I need to stupidly join a super long queue), of course will give it a shot.

In the past, I always have to click on each email (whether I feel like reading or not) to open it whenever I want a preview which is, erm, still bearable... now, there's a preview pane (much better). In the past, I get pissed off when I'm composing a new message/replying, and I couldn't access another message in my inbox to reference its contents. As a result, had to save the new message as draft, then get to the inbox... search for the relevant message, open it... copy the necessary, then close it... after which, go to look for my draft and open it again to continue composing... shack and fed-up! NOW... with a nicer looking user interface, and being able to open up many messages at one go (and use the tab to switch between them)... just one word to describe... cool! Luv you guys at Yahoo! for this much-awaited change (should have come much much earlier) - but slow is better than never. The RSS feed is coming... *looking forward*

Eh, I think those using yahoo.com.sg one still cannot try... so you all wait patiently lor...

Schnappi

I finally got my hand on this Schnappi cute song, sang by (I heard) a 6 years old (not four years old) German girl named Joy Gruttman. I first heard it on air via 933...

I wonder if my little nephew Ben like this song? Will let him listen to it via my k750i when we next meet to celebrate my grandfather's birthday.

***
By the way, I kope (took) the lyrics from this forum.
Lyrics is posted by a forum member: KlausInGermany

Lyrics in German:

Ich bin Schnappi das kleine Krokodil
komm aus Ägypten, das liegt direkt am Nil
zuerst lag ich in einem Ei
dann schni schna schnappte ich mich frei

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

Ich bin Schnappi das kleine Krokodil
hab scharfe Zähne und davon ganz schön viel
ich schnapp mir was ich schnappen kann
ja schnapp zu weil ich das so gut kann

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

Ich bin Schnappi das kleine Krokodil
ich schnappe gern das ist mein Lieblingsspiel
ich schleich mich an die Mama ran
und zeig ihr wie ich schnappen kann

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

ich bin Schnappi das kleine Krokodil
und vom schnappen da krieg ich nicht zuviel
ich beiss den Papi kurz ins Bein
und dann dann schlafe ich einfach ein

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

Lyrics in English:

I'm Snappy, the little crocodile
I come from Egypt, right on the Nile
At first I lay in an egg
Then I sne-sna-snapped myself free!

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

I'm Snappy, the little crocodile
-got sharp teeth and a lot of 'em
I bite whatever I can
yeah, I bite down because I'm good at it

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

I'm Snappy, the little crocodile
I like to bite-that's my favorite game.
I snuggle up to Mommy real close
and show her how good I can bite.

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

I'm Snappy,the little crocodile
And I can't get enough of biting!
I even bit Daddy in the leg
And then I took a little nap!

schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp
schni schna schnappi schnappi schnappi schnapp

The world have changed...

Nowadays the world seemed to have changed. No longer is the person who seeked help arriving earlier (or at least, on time) to wait for the person who agreed to help. It's the other way round (Cos Darkie was no where to be seen when I reach)... Realized that it's far worse, he didn't even turned up. Fly me aeroplane. You good uh. Great job. Well done, well done...

I only have 24 hours, one brain & a pair of hands...

Just checked my inbox... found an email that marked the beginning of a nightmare. Darkie asked if I'm free tomorrow morning so that he can do some modeling together with me. To me, it reads more of as "Can you do a model for me"... And a model is an ultra vague term. A small simple one can be done within minutes (if it's simple, he shld be able to figure it out right?) but a complex ones requires days or even weeks of effort. Which one do you think it is? I don't dare to think. If I have the time, I would have willing help to do everything (it's great to have a chance to show off skills sometimes... hahah). Unfortunately, this is the wrong time... I'm busy programming, debugging, reading, figuring out equations... and have tons and tons of unsettled issues to look into - so I can only wish him good luck if he requires customization (it requires a five day course and weeks of familiarization).

Care less and it'll be gone forever...

Panting... Sweating... I'm not trying to lose heat.

I pant and I sweat because I run back to the washroom to retrieve my precious entertainment system k750i babe. Shit shit shit, how could I? Had it been a normal day, it would be gone forever... Still haven't really recover from my panic attack. That time my mum asked me to anyhow buy a cheap cheap handphone cos she said I very "lun joon" (careless) one... Really leh, I think I really need a strap to hang it over my neck (like that sure won't lose it)... *heart beat still a bit fast*

Being extra is sometimes out of no choice...

These days, I've sort of disappeared from my usual workplace and relocated myself to somewhere more peaceful, less stressful, and somewhat more motivating. When I reappeared, Vic told me that a handsome guy is looking for me for the past two days. Wah, rare incident - I mean after Jo left, there's no more nice-looking person around to allow our eyes to have a little stray (i mean rest) away from the glare of our monitors. Not to say someone who resembles yu2 wen2 le4 (oh, that's what Vic said - sure or not? will check it out myself) is LOOKING for me... hahah... anyway, before you got it all wrong (or rather, I got it all wrong), this don't-know-who is looking for me... to get hold of the license key. (Cheh!)

Last mon, my boss sent me an email to ask me to lend a helping hand to Darkie... Top-down requests cannot be rejected. So I "willingly" spent 2-3 hours guiding him on how to do a simple model (... harder ones you have to experiment yourself... else, 2-3 days may also be insufficient). This stupid software has a steep learning curve (at least that's what I think). Anyway, I realized subsequently that he didn't really have the intention to use this software cos he already had his mind fixed on another one. Wah lao, waste my time.

Now, there's another one... but it's funny, cos' this time round, there's no top-down request? Preferential treatment exercised becos' they are of different kind? Anyway, none of my biz. The only thing we questioned is whether "some good-looking guys are no brainers"... LOL... cos if I were him, I would not spend time waiting till the cows come home or till neck is long enough to join the zoo as a giraffe exhibit. I would just ask for that person's number or email so that I can contact him/her straight away. No initiative one. In the end, I had to ask Vic to pass him the server name and port number (cos' I've already set up a server for them to access the license) and an email for him to contact me if there's any problem... when did I become so EXTRA? (Tell you why: I've accepted that fact that I'm the remaining target board for all accurately-shot arrows to fall on... sooner or later, I have to do it... that's why!)

Food again... ;p

Had grilled pepper fish today... with no smiley faces and different veg... for the price, not bad lah... but I still prefer the grilled salmon fish I had on Monday.

haiz...

I've been yawning non-stop after waking up early for a morning jog. Yup, you didn't hear it wrong. Some how there's an invisible power pulling this lazy bum up early in the morning to do of all things - jog. Amazing. I'm physically active but mentally inactive now... *yawn again*

J's mum is diagnosed with leukemia. Still undergoing tests. Hopefully she'll be recover soon...

Frankly, I dislike hospital visits (but of course it's unavoidable). Everytime I stepped into one and smelled the distinct sterile disinfectant/anaesthetics in the air... I already feel sick. Some of the things inside there are just too visually distracting and overwhelming for me.

Anyone has that don't-know-what "Pet Pet" CD to share with me... or anyone wants to share... there's a cute song about a crocodile sang by a kid inside (if I'm not wrong).

Lunch

I'm now enjoying my grilled salmon fish set meal which cost only S$3.60...

I don't work on Sunday

Guess what? I just checked my email and realized that someone actually got a face thick enough to ask me to go back to my lab to teach him how to use a software on a SUNDAY. Don't he know that Sunday is for family/Xian/friends, or recreation, or for zobo-ing (rest). I don't even feel like doing the things that I ought to do, not to say travel so far for "extra work".

I'm the remaining person (target) left for arrows to land on...
I'm fanatically seeking Xian's help to "clone" an impt h/w so that I can use it as and when I like...

Happy Birthday

I know you will be reading this...

Yup cM, this cute Chicken Little Birthday Greeting Pic is created specially for you. One and only. ;p Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday. Enjoy the day and may all your birthday wishes come true.

Thoughts...

Together for a long time doesn't imply eternity.
***
Taking things for granted is one of the greatest killer of all ships (relationships, friendships, kinships...).
***
Should one accept what one cannot change?
***
Some things are just fated to be the way it is...

Is everyone indispensable?

Once, D--tmar told me: "It's okay to leave cos' no one is indispensable." - Is it? I'm not sure.

Today, I think Xi's bosses probably can't tell her that. They even asked if she could tender later. NOPE! (SIAO, of course cannot lah...keke). Then they negotiate how many days of leave she can clear (plenty - can disappear within a handful of days)... See panic liao lor (hahaha...ORBI GOOD!).

Lesson: Be appreciative of, respect and set a good example for the people working for/under you. They will be willing to work extras for you.

What more can one say?

Though it rightfully belongs to whoever it belongs to...
Though it should be fairly shared...
Though there should be compromises...
Though there can be thousand and one 'thoughs'...
But what's the point of paying for something when it's not within reach when you need it most...
Close or distant, it has become a reliance...
But it has also become a liability for one and a pissed factor for many...
