elements beneath the sky...

Owning 2 masks - featuring my true self & the other self... I've drifted from the normal path. Juz some thoughts, opinions, complaints, gossips, bullshits... beneath the boundaryless sky that we share.

Name:

I am... by my own standards... a simple, sincere, average-looking scopio who can be both quiet and crazy; one who needs time to warm up to people; a homebody; sometimes impatient and stubborn, and erm, a mech engineer who doesn't look and sound like one.

I set off the fire alarm...

After pan frying some tiger shrimps, the smoke sets off the fire alarm. It shrieked so loud and almost scared the shit out of me. This wasn't the first time I hear the loud shrieking alarm but this was the very first time I've set it off. Will the firemen be activated? Will I inconvenience anyone? What should I do? How could I silence it? PANIC!!! PANIC!!! (I didn't know what to do except to stop cooking and wait. Phew! It stopped after a while. No one came.)

By then, the 'a-little-shaken-me' have already no mood to cook what I've originally planned for. I have already on the exhaust fan and set it to high - so I cannot comprehend why this can still happen. Is the smoke detector overly sensitive? In that case, they should incorporate a temporary disabling feature so that alarm does not just go off like this (see a patent on a Smoke alarm having temporary disabling features).

Damned! How can one cook if it sets off the fire alarm just like that?
