Good listener but...

I realized that I can listen, empathize, and keep secrets. No problem. But when friends confide in me, I find myself having problems dishing out advises/suggestions/directions to assist that person in making a decision or to solve the problem, and sometimes struggle to find the right words to console that person. And at times, I think I'm easily dragged into the emotional rollercoaster... haiz... how huh?
